This Release Notes document describes the following details for version E7/8 of the Surfsight® Portal:
New SD Card formatted event
In dashcam with firmware 3.11.25 or above, each time the SD card is formatted, whether through the dashcam or the Surfsight® Portal, the SD card formatted event is created in the Surfsight® Portal.
Note
This feature is only available on dashcams with firmware 3.11.25 or above.

These events settings must be configured with the necessary parameters to save settings successfully, or an error message appears. NoteDue to a new more stringent validation process, in devices with Tailgating events that had corrupted or missing configurations, the Tailgating events were disabled. Partners impacted by this situation were contacted directly by the Technical Account Manager team. If you have any questions please contact your Technical Account Manager. |

Locked dashcams' event settings are not set to off by default. They continue to send video to the cloud using data from the mobile network for any events configured with video attached. Work-around: Before locking a dashcam, change all of its event settings to off. |
