Fixes
Resolved Unauthorized Error When Changing Camera PINs Through the Portal
This release fixes an issue where certain portal users were unable to change a camera PIN through the Surfsight Portal. When these users attempted to authenticate to view or update a camera PIN, they received an Unauthorized error that prevented them from completing the PIN change workflow.
With this update:
Users can now successfully authenticate and change camera PINs through the Surfsight Portal. The PIN code verification process now correctly supports all applicable user credential types, enabling authorized users to manage camera PINs without encountering authorization errors.
Resolved Excessive API Calls in Surfsight Geotab Add-In
This release fixes an issue where the Surfsight Geotab Add-In (EU) made multiple redundant API calls each time a user navigated between Add-In tabs. These repeated requests created unnecessary load on Geotab servers and increased the risk of rate limiting across affected MyGeotab platform instances, potentially disrupting the integration for partner users.
With this update:
The Geotab session validation API is called only once per session, and the token is cached in local storage until it expires. Users who navigate between Surfsight Geotab Add-In tabs no longer trigger repeated session validation requests or redundant user detail requests. This change reduces unnecessary API traffic, helps prevent rate limiting, and ensures more stable and efficient integration performance for Geotab partners.
Resolved Dashcam Data Not Respecting Configured Purge Period
This release fixes an issue where dashcam GPS and trip data was not being deleted according to the organization's configured purge period. Users who configured a purge period (for example, 30 days) could still view older trip and event data on their dashcams beyond the expected retention window. As a result, data that should have been purged remained visible.
With this update:
The dashcam now purges GPS records according to the organization's configured purge period. Data older than the defined retention window is automatically removed as expected, helping organizations enforce their configured data retention settings.
When clicking the โUnconcealโ button for a snapshot event, the โRetrieve Videoโ button is disabled and cannot be clicked.
This release fixes an issue where the "Retrieve Video" button became unclickable after unconcealing a snapshot event. Users who opened a snapshot event and clicked the "Unconceal" button found that the "Retrieve Video" button stopped responding. As a result, users were unable to retrieve video for snapshot events after unconcealing the media.
With this update:
The "Retrieve Video" button now remains available after unconcealing a snapshot event, as long as the recording exists, the device is online, and the file type is a snapshot. When media is concealed, the "Retrieve Video" button is hidden. When a user toggles between conceal and unconceal, the button visibility updates immediately as expected.
Surfsight Possible Fatigue event is not triggered when a Distracted Driving event occurs and the driving duration exceeds the configured threshold.
This release fixes an issue where the Possible Fatigue event was not triggering even when a Distracted Driving event occurred and the driver's cumulative driving time exceeded the configured Driving Duration threshold. Users who had Possible Fatigue configured with a Driving Duration (for example, 1 hour) did not see the event trigger as expected, even after the threshold was met. As a result, Possible Fatigue alerts may not have been generated as expected.
With this update:
The Possible Fatigue event now triggers when a Distracted Driving event occurs, and the driver's cumulative driving time is above the configured Driving Duration threshold. Fleet managers can expect Possible Fatigue alerts based on their configured settings.
A white screen is displayed when attempting to use the Surfsight Geotab Add-In.
This release fixes an issue where a white screen was displayed when attempting to use the Geotab Add-In. Users who navigated to Add-Ins and selected Vehicles in their Geotab account saw a blank white screen instead of the expected content. As a result, the Geotab Add-In was unusable.
With this update:
The Geotab Add-In now loads and displays content correctly when users navigate to Add-Ins and select Vehicles. Users can access and use the Geotab Add-In as expected.
