View video events from Video Events

You can view video events from MyGeotab Maps and the Video Events area.

Video events are the video footage uploaded to the cloud once an event occurs. The video footage captures the 5 seconds before and 5 seconds after the event and is saved in the cloud for 31 days. The AI-12 dashcam continuously records the trip on a local SD card. The video recordings from can be viewed and downloaded directly from the MyGeotab dashboard without needing to pull out the SD card from the camera.

To view video events from the Video Events area:

  1. From the Surfsight® add-in, go to the Video Events area.

  2. From the row of the vehicle for which you want to view events, select Options.

  3. From the drop-down menu, select a period of time for which to load the list of events.

    All of the events triggered for the selected time period for the relevant vehicle load in a list sorted from the most recent in descending order.

  4. Filter for events by type with the Filter drop-down list at the top of the events.

  5. Sort events by event type or in ascending or descending order by time of occurrence with the Sort drop-down list at the top of the events.

  6. Scroll to find the relevant event, and click Play to view it.

    The relevant videos of the event load for both the road- and the in-cabin-facing recordings.
