This Release Notes document describes the following details for version E6 of the Surfsight® Portal:

New features

SUR-4431

Fleet managers can add dashcams from a second reseller partner to an existing organization in the Surfsight® Portal or through the API. The reseller partner can then view the organization and configure settings for their dashcams within it from the Partner Portal or through the API.

Note

The second reseller partner cannot view or configure settings for dashcams sold by the first reseller partner.

Enhancements

SUR-4249

The terminology for the active status of a dashcam has been improved. Previously it was Activated, and is now Active.

Surfsight® API E6 April 2022

This Release Notes document describes the following details for version E6 of the Surfsight® API:

New features

SUR-4299

The eventId parameter is now returned in the POST /devices/{imei}/virtual-event call. This parameter simplifies the retrieval of event information. Use this parameter to:

  • view the specific event and its details

  • update the event severity

  • add comments

  • delete the event

SUR-4431

Live video may sometimes flash continuously while streaming.

We are monitoring this issue and evaluating possible solutions.

SUR-5044

Locked dashcams' event settings are not set to off by default. They continue to send video to the cloud using data from the mobile network for any events configured with video attached.

Work-around: Before locking a dashcam, change all of its event settings to off.
