Add a dashcam to a different organization

Every dashcam can only be registered under one organization. To move a dashcam from one organization to another, you need to delete it from the original organization and then you can assign the relevant IMEI number to the new organization.

Caution

Deleting a dashcam also deletes all its data from the Surfsight Portal. Download any important data before deleting the dashcam.

Note

When the Organization settings profile is enabled and users configure settings using a combination of single, bulk and this profile, each existing device is configured based on its most recent updates, regardless of method. Newly added devices are automatically configured with the Organization profile.

To add a dashcam to a new organization:

  1. From the Surfsight Portal dashboard, click Cameras on the navigation bar.

    The list of dashcams appears.

  2. Use the Search bar to find the name of the dashcam or browse to find the relevant dashcam.

  3. Click the three dots next to the relevant dashcam.

  4. In the Edit DashCam window that pops-up, click DELETE.

  5. In the window that pops-up, click DELETE.

  6. Follow the steps in Add dashcams to your Surfsight® account to add the dashcam to a new organization.
