The AI-14 Dashcam now features a "semi-online" status, that allows the device to be partially active. This new feature enables the dashcam to process basic commands without a full boot. The "semi-online" mode directly improves how users interact with the device and its overall resource management.
This new state provides operational clarity for users. The isSemiOnline: true status field is returned via API and webhooks, and it is also visible in blue within the White Label Portal's user interface. You can trigger this semi-online status using the API endpoint: PUT /devices/{imei}/semi-online.
This capability allows for more accurate timing of API calls, which helps improve automation. By avoiding full wake-ups, the dashcam conserves both battery life and storage space. The device is designed to return to standby mode after two minutes of inactivity, further optimizing power use. This enhancement delivers a more efficient and user-friendly dashcam experience.

Locked dashcams' event settings are not set to off by default. They continue to send video to the cloud using data from the mobile network for any events configured with video attached. Work-around: Before locking a dashcam, change all of its event settings to off. |
