Troubleshooting: Wired/Ethernet Issues

The following table suggests solutions for issues that may occur with the wired/ethernet configuration:

Issue/question

Possible cause

Suggested solution/explanation

The Wired/ Ethernet auxiliary camera is not connecting to the dashcam.

The Wii-Fi router has no power or has lost is connectivity to the AI-12. 

The AI-12 settings menu displays a Wi-Fi symbol next to the GPS symbol. If a Wi-Fi connection is active, the router's SSID is shown in the Wi-Fi settings.

The Wired/ Ethernet auxiliary camera is not connecting to the dashcam

The  Wi-Fi Router is connected to the AI-12. 

Check the auxiliary camera's cable connections to ensure they are secure and inspect the power supply for any issues. If the problem persists, try resetting the camera.

The auxiliary camera does not record a vibration event.

 

The auxiliary cameras will only activate after the main dashcam detects movement and wakes up from Standby mode.

The auxiliary cameras will stop recording once the vehicle's engine is turned off.

Like the main dashcam, auxiliary cameras stop recording 10 to 60 minutes after the vehicle is turned off.
