Take these steps the install the dashcam.

Check the car for electrical problems or damage and report any findings to the owner.

Check the connection spot for hardwire or OBDII.

Look at where you will place the dashcam. Make sure you can still use everything near it.

Turn on the dashcam and look at the live video.

Hold up the dashcam to check the view. Ensure nothing blocks the camera. Verify you can still take the AI-14 off the mount.

Mark where the mount will go on the windshield. (For a more detailed explanation, see Mount the AI-14 dashcam

Clean the area again with an alcohol wipe.

Stick the mount on the windshield and let it dry.

Turn off the AI-14.

Run the power cable safely to the mount.

Plug in the power cable.

Place the AI-14 dashcam on the bracket.

Check the live video again and then tighten all the screws on the AI-14.

If you have a tamper-proof cover, put it on correctly. Make sure the power cable is in the right place.

Make sure the AI-14 is in the right spot on the windshield mount.

Run the power cable through the top slot in the mount and behind the plastic trim.

Finish the installation and test it.

Ensure normal vehicle operation and that no changes have been made.
