AI-14 dash cam firmware V14.5 release

Overview

This update focuses on reliability, accuracy, and security across the fleet, with improvements to right hand drive detection, recording continuity, and connection stability. See details below.

Key enhancements:

Gen2 MV+AI distraction right-hand drive support

  • The MV+AI Gen2 model now supports right-hand drive vehicles, so distraction detection and coaching work correctly in markets that drive on the left.

Recording at power loss

  • If power is cut, the dash cam saves the last video frame, so the clip is viewable up to the moment power was lost.

Keepalive efficiency

  • Network keepalive intervals are now 5 minutes. This reduces carrier network overhead and improves session stability. Expect steadier connectivity, fewer intermittent disconnects, and modest reductions in background data.

MV+AI additional alert patterns

  • Administrators can define the behavior pattern that should count as an event for each in cabin MV+AI category, using APIv2 or the white label portal. This includes setting the minimum vehicle speed and how many alert beeps must occur before the behavior is considered meaningful. For example cell phone use, food and drink, distracted driving, smoking, obstruction, and driver unbelted.
