Post-installation checklist

Once the dashcam is installed and mounted, take the following steps:

Final Checks and Functionality:

  1. Secure all cabling and reinstall any removed panels correctly.

  2. With the vehicle on, verify the dashcam's live view to ensure it's operational.

  3. Test the functionality of lights, power windows, radio, and climate control (A/C and heat).

  5. Confirm that the unit has both a cellular connection and GPS by checking the "more info" screen in the settings menu.

  6. Check other critical vehicle functions.

Take Photographs of the following:

  1. Dashcam mounted position on the windshield (with sun visor open and closed).

  2. Live view on the dashcam touchscreen for both road-facing and in-cab lenses.

  3. Constant power connection point and fusing used.

  4. Ground connection point.

  5. Overall installation and cable routing

Vehicle and Device Information

  1. Record the IMEI, Vehicle Registration, VIN, and ADAS measurements.

  2. Check the inside and outside of the car for any existing damage or lack of cleanliness and report it before starting the installation.

OBD-II Connection (If Applicable):

Ensure the OBD-II port is clear and no other devices are connected.

Final Steps:

  1. Turn on the car before concluding to confirm no warning lights appear.

  2. Investigate and resolve any warning lights and inform the client and supplier of any issues.

  3. Return the keys.
