This Release Notes document describes the following details for version E8 of the Partner Portal:

The Partner Portal is now integrated with documentation and release updates. To view documentation, select in the lower right-hand part of your page.
Starting from the E9 release, all release notes will only be distributed through their relevant platform. This means that Partner Portal release notes will be distributed through the Partner Portal documentation only.
Having the documentation integrated in this way provides reseller partners and users with the relevant information, accessible from the relevant platform.

Reseller partners with shared access to an organization can now view and configure settings for all devices in that organization - including the devices of another reseller partner.
This makes it easier for multiple reseller partners who work on devices for a single organization to assist fleet managers in managing that entire organization.
SUR-4969
Reseller partners can now enable and disable shared access to an existing organization with devices from multiple reseller partners. This makes it easier to update organizations as the needs of a fleet manager evolve.
When disabling shared access, reseller partners must first remove all devices from the reseller partner that will no longer be part of that organization.
For the sake of increased clarity, organizations managed by multiple reseller partners are now also described as being either enabled or disabled.
SUR-4551
When recordingEncryption is enabled for a device, the device is automatically disabled from exceeding 720p resolution (level 3 video quality). This is because simultaneously processing and encrypting video quality above 720p cause the device to exceed its power and thermal limitations.
This Release Notes document describes the following details for version E8 of the Surfsight® API:
SUR-4963
In an organization with devices from multiple reseller partners, reseller partners can now make calls that include any of those devices.
This makes it easier for multiple reseller partners who work on devices for a single organization to assist fleet managers in managing that entire organization.
SUR-4969
The exclusivePartnerOnly parameter is now included in the PATCH /organizations/{orgId} call. This enables reseller partners to enable or disable shared access to an existing organization, making it easier to update organizations as the needs of a fleet manager evolve.
When disabling shared access, reseller partners must first remove all devices from the reseller partner that will no longer be part of that organization.

Multiple users were repeatedly receiving the "SD card may be fragmented or corrupt. Camera is not recording video" message as a false alarm. |
Users are no longer receiving this false alarm. |
SUR-4248 |
Some users were receiving live videos and video recordings for de-activated devices. |
API requests to the media server for de-activated devices no longer return videos or recordings. In such cases, error 423 is now, correctly, returned instead. |
SUR-4403 |
When attempting to retrieve a live stream through the sample application on the Developer Portal, a retry webRTC was missing from the sample code. Users were receiving a 404 error message with no possibility of retrying. |
The retry webRTC is now working in the sample code. Attempts to retrieve a live stream automatically retry until the live stream is retrieved. |
SUR-4993 |
Reseller partners could manage external users of an organization, even though they did not own the data and should not have been able to give those users access. |
Reseller partners can no longer add or remove external users from the Partner Portal or API. This is to protect the data owned by fleet managers. Fleet managers can still manage external users from the Surfsight® Portal. |
