Surfsight auxiliary cameras troubleshooting

Trouble shouting of Aux cameras is limited to ensuring they have quality power and ground connections to the vehicle, and connection over Wired/ Ethernet.

The following table suggests solutions for issues that may arise with auxiliary cameras:

Issue/question

Suggested solution/explanation

The Wired/ Ethernet auxiliary camera is not connecting to the dashcam

Wi-Fi router has no power or has lost is connectivity to the AI-12

AI-12 settings menu will show a Wi-Fi Symbol next to the GPS symbol. Settings menu Wi-Fi settings will show the router SSID if connected.

The Wired/ Ethernet auxiliary camera is not connecting to the dashcam

Wi-Fi Router is connected to the AI-12.

Limited to auditing the cables and power supplies to the aux camera. And re-setting the cameras.

The auxiliary camera does not record a vibration event.

The auxiliary cameras connect only after the main dashcam wakes up from Standby mode upon sensing movement.

The auxiliary cameras do not record after the vehicle has been turned off.

The auxiliary cameras stop recording at a minimum of ten minutes and a maximum of sixty minutes after the vehicle turns off, just like the main dashcam.
