Set the AI-14 dashcam viewing angles

You can set the viewing angles of the road-facing and in-cab lenses. The lenses are not separately adjustable.

When installing the AI-14 dashcam, ensure that it is mounted on the windscreen in a location where both the front-facing and in-cab-facing lenses can rotate together smoothly. This positioning will enable the dashcam to capture footage effectively from both directions without compromising the field of view of each lens. Additionally, it is important to correctly set the field of view to ensure optimal recording from both angles.

To set the view angles:

Note

Make sure your vehicle is parked, with the parking brake on, the ignition on, and the door closed.

  1. Loosen the screw where the mounting bracket meets the dashcam body.

Use the arrow keys to toggle between the road-facing and in-cab views.

  5. Hold the dashcam and mounting bracket up to the windshield in the proposed mounting position without exposing the mounting tape.

  6. Use Live View to view the position of both the road-facing and in-cab lenses, in each direction. Use the arrow keys to toggle between the views.

You can adjust the viewing angles of both lenses by rotating the body of the dashcam.

  7. Tighten the screw where the mounting bracket meets the dashcam when finished. Once the screw is tightened, the two lenses are locked into place.

  8. Mark the edges of the bracket on the windshield with non-permanent marker.
